Hulchul is a 1995 Bollywood comedy film directed by Anees Bazmee, starring Vinod Khanna, Ajay Devgn, and Kajol in lead roles, with supporting cast members including Ronit Roy, Kader Khan, Navin Nischol, and Amrish Puri. The film's plot follows a young man named Deva (Devgn) who falls in love with Anjali (Kajol) but there's a catch - their families have a long-standing feud, dating back to a previous generation. Add to the mix Deva's father Dharamraj (Khanna) and Anjali's father Balraj (Roy), both of whom are hot-headed and stubborn, and it's a recipe for disaster.

The movie begins with the introduction of the two main families - the Singhs and the Sharmas. They have a longstanding rivalry that has resulted in many violent clashes in the past. Dharamraj (Khanna) is the patriarch of the Singh family and leads his clan with an iron hand. Balraj (Roy) is the head of the Sharma family and is equally headstrong. They both hate each other and would do anything to harm the other party. Their rivalry is so intense that it has spilled over to their children, who have grown up with their respective families' hatred for the other party ingrained in their minds.

Cut to present day, Deva (Devgn), the youngest member of the Singh family, falls head over heels in love with Anjali (Kajol), the youngest daughter of the Sharma family. However, when Deva's family finds out about his love interest, they are vehemently opposed to him marrying into the enemy clan. Deva, being the stubborn young man that he is, decides to elope with Anjali rather than heed his father's warnings.

Their elopement triggers a series of events that only escalate the feud between the Singhs and the Sharmas. Both families try everything in their power to separate Deva and Anjali, even going so far as to hire goons to beat up Deva. However, Deva and Anjali are determined to stay together, and their love only grows stronger in the face of adversity.

Throughout the movie, we see some hilarious scenes where both Ajay Devgn and Kajol are at their comedic best. Kajol, in particular, is a standout with her impeccable comic timing and bubbly charm. Vinod Khanna plays the role of a stern father to perfection and brings depth to the character of Dharamraj. Ronit Roy and Amrish Puri also deliver solid performances in their respective roles.

Overall, Hulchul is a fun-filled romantic-comedy that will leave you in splits with its witty one-liners and laugh-out-loud moments. It explores the theme of star-crossed lovers from rival families in a unique and entertaining way that keeps the audience engaged throughout. The movie may be over two decades old, but its humor and heart still hold up, making it a classic of its time.
