Hush is a 2005 horror-thriller movie directed by Harvey Kahn. The film stars Tori Spelling in the lead role of Zane, a young woman who is trying to escape her past by moving to a small town. However, her past comes back to haunt her as she finds herself at the center of a terrifying game of cat and mouse with a dangerous stalker. The movie opens with Zane moving to a small town from Los Angeles to start a new life. She finds a new home and starts making friends with the locals, including her neighbor and best friend, Beth (Victoria Pratt). However, her peace is soon shattered when she receives anonymous threatening phone calls and emails, and someone breaks into her house.

Zane starts to suspect that her ex-boyfriend, Dale (Tahmoh Penikett), is behind the threats, as he blames her for ruining his life. As the threats become more intense, Zane realizes that she is being stalked by someone who is determined to kill her.

The tension in the movie builds up gradually, as Zane's stalker becomes more and more aggressive, and she starts to lose her grip on reality. She becomes paranoid, unable to trust anyone, including the people she thought were her friends.

The movie's strength lies in its psychological horror elements, as Zane's fears and paranoia begin to take over her life. Some of the scenes are genuinely creepy, and the suspense is maintained throughout, keeping the audience on edge.

Tor Spelling gives a decent performance as Zane, capturing the character's vulnerability and determination. Victoria Pratt is also impressive as her steadfast friend, Beth, who provides support and guidance when Zane needs it the most.

Tahmoh Penikett plays the part of Dale, the ex-boyfriend, with conviction, portraying the character's unhinged and dangerous persona with ease. His performance adds a layer of menace to the movie that keeps the viewers on the edge of their seats.

The cinematography is also noteworthy, capturing the small town's picturesque settings and the eerie mood that pervades the movie. The use of a washed-out color palette adds to the movie's sense of foreboding and unease.

One of the few weaknesses of the film is that the plot is predictable and does not offer many surprises. The audience can see where the story is heading, and the movie does not deviate from its well-worn path.

Overall, Hush is an entertaining horror-thriller movie that will keep you on the edge of your seat. With decent performances, effective cinematography, and a gripping storyline, the movie is a must-watch for horror movie fans.
