I Remember Everything, Richard is a 1966 Russian film. The movie also appeared under the alternative title Rock and Splinters. Rolands Kalnins directed the movie. The story is about three friends, Janis, Zigis, and Ricards, who join the Latvian Legion during World War II. The Latvian Legion fought against the Red Army during the war. The second part of the story takes place twenty years after the war. Zigis was killed in the war. Janis stays in Latvia, and Ricards emigrates to the West. The history of the Latvian conflict is one of the murky and controversial periods of Soviet history. Although the film contains elements of Soviet propaganda, film critics praised it for its objective portrayal of the Latvian Legion.
