This is a movie about two young children who grew up in a world before WWII. They experienced events in their life simply because they were Jewish. A group of Japanese children in today's time found a suitcase with a girl's name on it, and this suitcase was from Auschwitz. Belongings in the suitcase give a little insight as to what the little girl dealt with in her young life.
