It's Nifty in the Navy is a Danish comedy film filled with plenty of family friendly comedy and songs. It follows three friends, Svend Nielsen (Poul Hagen), Knud Hansen (Ove Sprogøe) and Valdemar Jensen (Dirch Passer), who own a fishing boat named HI 87 Anne 2. They are suddenly called into service in the Navy but they owe money to the bank and need someone to take over the fishing boat while they are serving the Navy. Knud recruits his sisters to help with the fishing, but they still need a captain for the boat. Hilarity ensues when Knud's hypochondriac, arthritic father volunteers for the job.
