This 2007 Pakistani film was written and directed by Syed Noor (Jungle Queen) and is based upon a real life story. In a small village in Pakistan there lives a young woman named Gulaab Bibi, whose beauty and charm has made her well known throughout the land. One day she meets the suave and sophisticated army officer, Shahnawaz, with whom she instantly falls in love with.

For a while things seem to be going perfectly and Bibi is overjoyed to learn that not only does Shahnawaz reciprocate her feelings but that he plans to marry her. However, his rich and elitist family gravely oppose the marriage which forces Bibi to find a way to win them over.
