Jim Dine: A Self-Portrait on the Walls is a short documentary film that was released in 1995. The film looks at an installation by Jim Dine. The theme of the installation was putting the art directly on the walls of a gallery. The film follows Dine as he goes about putting massive works of art on a wall inside of the short timeframe before the gallery opening. The film also explores the theme of producing pieces of art that will change once they are removed from the gallery, and some of the strange tools Jim Dine uses instead of paintbrushes.
