Watch Johnny Appleweed

When a backwoods farmer sees a ghostly apparition of Johnny Appleseed, he sets forth on a mission to fill the surrounding countryside with seeds to a very different plant: marijuana. The farmer will duck law enforcement and locals who would take his product as he seeks to make what he views to be a medicinal plant available for all who can find it.

This feature-length dramatic comedy received poor critical and viewer reviews, but is notable for tackling marijuana as a subject matter that was just re-entering the public eye at the time of the film's theatrical release in 2008.
