The 2017 movie Justice League is a superhero film based on the DC Comics superhero team of the same name. The film is directed by Zack Snyder and stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, and Ray Fisher as Cyborg. The movie is set after the events of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and revolves around Batman and Wonder Woman recruiting a team of superheroes to combat a new threat to the world. The threat, named Steppenwolf, is an otherworldly being who seeks to combine three Mother Boxes and destroy the Earth in the process. The Mother Boxes, which are powerful technologies developed by a long-dead civilization, are scattered across the Earth and are guarded by different factions.

The plot of the movie is driven by the team's effort to prevent Steppenwolf from collecting all three Mother Boxes and unleashing his full power on the world. Batman and Wonder Woman begin by recruiting The Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg, who are shown to have unique abilities and backgrounds. The team quickly comes together but struggles to trust each other due to their differences.

Throughout the film, the Justice League faces numerous obstacles, including internal conflicts, external resistance, and Steppenwolf's minions. The conflicts between the characters are resolved as they work together to retrieve the Mother Boxes and stop Steppenwolf. However, the stakes are raised as Steppenwolf's true plan is revealed, and the team must fight to save the world.

The film sets up a foundation for future movies in the DC Extended Universe, introducing characters such as Aquaman and Cyborg for the first time. Batman and Wonder Woman also get more screen time, and their relationship is explored in more depth. The movie features a number of action sequences and special effects, all of which are used to great effect to tell the story.

In terms of character development, the film gives each member of the team their own moment to shine. Batman struggles with his desire for vengeance, while Wonder Woman must come to terms with the loss of her fellow Amazons. The Flash is inexperienced and unsure of himself, while Aquaman is hesitant to join the team. Finally, Cyborg grapples with his newfound powers and the guilt that comes with them.

Overall, Justice League is a well-executed superhero movie that does justice to the characters it portrays. While it doesn't quite reach the heights of The Avengers or Captain America: The Winter Soldier, it is an enjoyable and visually impressive film that sets the stage for further adventures in the DC Extended Universe.

Justice League is a 2017 action movie with a runtime of 2 hours and 1 minute. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 6.1 and a MetaScore of 45.
