Kamen Rider The First is a Japanese superhero film that was released in 2005. It is directed by Takao Nagaishi and stars Masaya Kikawada, Hassei Takano, and Rena Komine. The movie is based on the original Kamen Rider television series that aired in Japan during the 1970s. The plot of the movie revolves around a young man named Takeshi Hongo who has been kidnapped by the evil organization known as Shocker. Takeshi is brainwashed and turned into a cyborg monster known as a Kamen Rider, whose job it is to serve Shocker and destroy all those who oppose them.

However, Takeshi's memories slowly start to return, and he begins to remember his past life as a motorcycle racer. He also begins to question his allegiance to Shocker and wonders if he can use his newfound powers to fight for good instead of evil. With the help of a young reporter named Ruriko and a group of like-minded individuals, Takeshi sets out to stop Shocker and the Kamen Riders once and for all.

The movie is a faithful adaptation of the original television series and is sure to please fans of the franchise. The special effects are impressive, and the fight scenes are well choreographed. The movie also features a great soundtrack that perfectly captures the spirit of the original series.

One of the standout performances in the film is Masaya Kikawada, who plays Takeshi Hongo/Kamen Rider. His portrayal of the conflicted hero is nuanced and believable, and he brings a sense of depth to the character that wasn't present in the original series. Another great performance is given by Hassei Takano, who plays Shocker's leader, Ambassador Hell. Takano's performance is over-the-top and theatrical, but he manages to make the character both menacing and ridiculous at the same time.

The movie does have a few flaws, however. The pacing can be a bit slow at times, and some of the supporting characters aren't fleshed out as well as they could be. Additionally, the film might feel a bit dated to viewers who are not familiar with the original series.

Overall, Kamen Rider The First is an enjoyable superhero movie that should please fans of the genre. The action is exciting, the performances are strong, and the story is engaging. While it may not be a perfect film, it is a worthy adaptation of the classic Kamen Rider franchise.
