Simple-minded Ramdin Pandey struggles to make a living as a jail guard in Nasik, India. Faithful Ramdin tries to arrange his sister's marriage but the prospective family wants an enormous sum that Ramdin cannot afford. When a high-profile inmate is transfered to Ramdin's jail, Rehmat Khan, Ramdin finds an unlikely ally and potential sponsor. But when the wily Khan escapes from jail, Ramdin is blamed. Ramdin has to scramble to track down the missing prisoner and return him before it's too late.
