Krishna is a 2007 Indian Kannada-language movie directed by M.D. Sridhar. The movie stars Ganesh, Pooja Gandhi, and Sharmiela Mandre in the lead roles. The plot of the movie revolves around the life of Krishna, who is a happy-go-lucky guy with good values, but gets falsely framed in a murder case. The rest of the movie deals with the efforts taken by Krishna to prove his innocence.

The movie starts with Krishna (Ganesh), a college student, living with his sister, father, and grandmother. Krishna is a happy-go-lucky guy, who has a good sense of humor and values relationships. He falls in love with Pavithra (Pooja Gandhi), who is a simple girl, and they both start dating. Meanwhile, a local don, Naga (Srinivasa Murthy), gets killed in a car accident, and the police arrest Krishna, who was present at the spot to help the victims.

The police start investigating the case, and the evidence against Krishna piles up, making him the main suspect. He gets remanded in judicial custody, and his family members and friends start trying to bail him out. Pavithra's father, who is a lawyer, takes up the case and starts investigating the matter. When the actual culprit, Prasad (Kishore), surrenders to the police and confesses his crime, Krishna's name is cleared. Krishna, who had already lost trust in the legal system, decides to take law into his own hands and eliminates the criminals who ruined his life.

The movie is a typical example of a hero-centric movie, where the lead actor takes all the charge of the story. Ganesh has done a commendable job in portraying the character of Krishna, who is a mixture of an angry young man and a responsible citizen. His dialogue delivery and screen presence are impressive. Pooja Gandhi, who plays Pavithra's character, has also done a decent job. However, her character could have been more defined, as she has little to do in the movie.

The supporting cast, which includes seasoned actors like Srinivasa Murthy, Kishore, and Avinash, has done a good job in their respective roles. Sharmiela Mandre, who plays the character of Nandini, Krishna's sister, has also done a decent job. Her character is shown as a caring sister, who supports his brother in his difficult times.

The music of the movie, composed by V. Harikrishna, is a plus point. The songs are melodious and gel with the narrative of the movie. The background score is also appropriate and enhances the emotional quotient of the movie. The cinematography by Ramesh Babu is commendable, as he has captured the mood of the screenplay beautifully. The action sequences, choreographed by Thriller Manju, are well executed and do not look too exaggerated.

In conclusion, Krishna is a typical hero-centric movie, which has all the ingredients of a commercial entertainer. The director, M.D. Sridhar, has succeeded in portraying the life of a common man and the struggles he faces in proving his innocence. The movie is worth watching for Ganesh's performance, songs, and action sequences. However, the movie falls short when it comes to character development, as most of the characters are not well defined.
