La Primera Noche tells the stosry of two brothers who are torn apart. due to the Colombian Civil War. One brother joins the country's guerrilla forces, while the other enlists in Colombia's official army. When the brother in the guerrilla forces is killed, his brother must take care of his widowed sister-in-law and his brother's child.
