The consequences of living a double life crash down on the main character in this French film. Jean-Marc Faure appears to be a successful doctor working for the prestigious World Health Organization. In reality, he is not. He maintains an illusion by researching health topics and pushing his way into medical conferences. Family and friends believe who he says he is and fund him by allowing him to invest their money.
When backers want to see a return, he resorts to desperate measures. Incredibly, the story is based on real-life events and illustrates how truth really is stranger than fiction.
