Let's Go to Prison is a 2006 comedy film directed by Bob Odenkirk, starring Dax Shepard, Will Arnett, and Chi McBride. The story follows John Lyshitski (Shepard), an ex-convict who was wrongfully imprisoned as a child by a corrupt judge. Seeking revenge, Lyshitski hatches a plan to get himself incarcerated again, this time with the intention of ruining the life of the same judge who put him away.

To do so, Lyshitski purposefully commits a crime in a bid to win a jail sentence. However, he also discovers that the judge's son, Nelson Biederman IV (Arnett), is also in jail for white-collar crimes. Lyshitski sees Biederman as an opportunity to get close to his target, so he befriends him with the intention of manipulating him to get what he wants.

The film is full of hilarious moments, as Lyshitski and Biederman try to navigate life behind bars. McBride plays Barry, the tough-as-nails prison warden who is not to be crossed. Lyshitski quickly finds himself at odds with Barry, and the two engage in a battle of wills that leads to some outrageous scenes.

Despite his best efforts, Lyshitski's plan does not go as smoothly as he had hoped, and he soon finds himself in over his head. As he struggles to stay alive in jail and maintain his relationship with Biederman, he wonders if his quest for revenge is worth the risks he is taking.

Let's Go to Prison is a witty and irreverent film that doesn't take itself too seriously. It lampoons the American justice system and the prison industrial complex, pointing out the absurdity of it all. The performances by Shepard, Arnett, and McBride are top-notch, and they all deliver the comedic goods.

The film's soundtrack is also noteworthy, featuring classic rock songs from the 70s and 80s that add to the overall fun atmosphere. The movie's cinematography is nothing special, but it doesn't detract from the story.

The film's humor is definitely not for everyone, as it is often crude and politically incorrect. There are moments that may make some viewers uncomfortable, and others that may simply fall flat. However, for those who enjoy raunchy comedies, Let's Go to Prison is a solid choice.

Overall, Let's Go to Prison is an entertaining comedy that will keep viewers laughing from start to finish. It doesn't try to be anything more than what it is, and that's perfectly fine. It's a great way to escape reality for a while and just have fun with some raunchy humor.

Let's Go to Prison is a 2006 comedy with a runtime of 1 hour and 29 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 5.9 and a MetaScore of 27.
