License to Drive is a 1988 film that was written by Neil Tolkin and directed by Greg Beeman. The film follows the story of a sixteen year old that lives in Southern California. After flunking his driving exam, Les Anderson feels despondent that he will never drive. Luckily, a computer error grants him a driver's license, and Les decides that he will tell no one about the error. This allows him to borrow his parent's car and take the most popular girls in school. This results in a wild night that typifies youthful recklessness, and the mistakes that children make. Les apologizes to his father after his night out, and ended up getting his first car.
The film features Corey Haim as Les Anderson, Corey Feldman as Dean, Carol Kane as Mrs. Anderson, and Richard Masur as Mr. Anderson. Heather Graham costars in the film as Mercedes Lane.
