Lockout is an action-packed science fiction movie from 2012 that stars Guy Pearce, Maggie Grace, and Peter Stormare. The film follows the story of Snow (Guy Pearce), a former government agent who is wrongly accused of a crime that he did not commit. In order to clear his name, Snow is offered a chance to participate in a dangerous mission. He is tasked with rescuing the president's daughter, Emilie (Maggie Grace), who is trapped in a maximum-security prison in outer space, after the prisoners take over the facility during a riot.

At the beginning of the film, Snow is sentenced to 30 years in a maximum-security prison after he is accused of killing a fellow agent. When the president's daughter, Emilie, arrives at the prison to investigate the living conditions, the prisoners stage a violent riot, taking the staff and Emilie hostage. The president promises Snow a full pardon in exchange for rescuing Emilie and bringing her safely back to Earth.

As Snow embarks on his mission, he faces a series of obstacles, including the ruthless prisoners who have taken control of the prison, as well as the corrupt officials who are determined to stop him. Snow's determination and resourcefulness are put to the test as he battles through a barrage of obstacles, using his wit and fighting skills to overcome each challenge. Along the way, Snow encounters Hydell (Joseph Gilgun), who is one of the prisoners responsible for the initial riot, and his deranged brother Alex (Vincent Regan). Alex has his own dark agenda and will stop at nothing to get what he wants.
