Long Time Dead is a 2002 British horror-thriller movie directed by Marcus Adams starring Joe Absolom, Tom Bell, Lara Belmont, and Lukas Haas. The film revolves around a group of students who try contacting the dead through a Ouija board, but unleash a vengeful spirit that begins to haunt and kill them one by one. The story begins when a group of six university students- Rob (Joe Absolom), Liam (James Hillier), Stella (Melanie Gutteridge), Spencer (Lukas Haas), Webster (Marsha Thomason), and Emma (Lara Belmont) gather for a house party. Looking for some excitement, the group decides to engage in an impromptu Ouija board session, daring one another to contact the afterlife.

With no knowledge of the proper rules, the group inadvertently summons a malevolent entity that communicates with them through the board. The entity reveals itself to be a vengeful spirit with a grudge and a craving for blood. Unbeknownst to the group, they have released an evil that will stop at nothing until they are all dead.

At first, the students think it's just a cruel joke, but strange things begin to happen around them. Emma discovers a mysterious triangle drawn on her back, and Liam is plagued by frightening nightmares. Tensions in the group mount and paranoia sets in as one of their own dies mysteriously, but they are unable to make the link between the ghostly figure they saw and them dying.

As the students continue to unravel the mystery, they soon realize that they have allowed an ancient demon to break free and terrorize them. The demon is angry and thirsty for blood, and that begins to take a toll on the group. Meanwhile, the spirit grows increasingly powerful, using fear and terror as a means of sustaining itself.

The visuals in Long Time Dead are well-crafted, with a creepy atmosphere and haunting mood. The camera work and special effects help to create an eerie, unsettling backdrop that is perfect for this kind of story. The soundtrack, which is scored by British musician David Arnold, brilliantly complements the horror scenes and gives energy to the story.

The performances of the young cast are top-notch, with Joe Absolom in particular standing out in the role of Rob. He is convincing as the reluctant hero who tries to save his friends from the deadly curse. Lara Belmont as Emma is also impressive, despite her character being portrayed as the female lead who's just happy to be alive.

Overall, Long Time Dead is a well-executed horror movie with an engrossing plot and excellent direction. Its clever blend of Ouija board sessions, vengeful spirits, and college students makes for an interesting, if formulaic, take on the horror genre. While not a classic, it's definitely worth a watch.
