Maan Gaye Mughal-e-Azam is a 2008 Indian comedy film directed by Sanjay Chhel and produced by Ganesh Jain. The film stars Rahul Bose, Mallika Sherawat, Paresh Rawal, and Kay Kay Menon in lead roles. The film is a satirical take on the state of contemporary Indian politics and bureaucracy. The film opens with the launch of a new film by celebrated filmmaker Bharat Kapoor (Rawal) titled "Mughal-e-Azam 2". The film is a sequel to the 1960 classic "Mughal-e-Azam" and features the biggest stars of Bollywood. However, things take a hilarious turn when a group of terrorists led by Gangu Teli (Menon) hijacks the film's premiere and takes the entire cast, crew, and audience hostage.

With the situation spiraling out of control, the government decides to bring in Special Commissioner of Police Raza Murad (Bose) to negotiate with the terrorists. However, things don't go according to plan as Murad soon discovers that the terrorists have their own demands and are not interested in negotiating. On top of that, he must also deal with the eccentricities of the film industry and the corruption of the politicians involved.

The film is a riot of laughs as the characters indulge in over-the-top antics and exaggerated stereotypes. Rawal's portrayal of the pompous and self-absorbed film director Bharat Kapoor is a standout, as is Menon's performance as the colorful and unpredictable terrorist leader Gangu Teli. Mallika Sherawat also shines as the ambitious actress Devika Chaudhary, who finds herself caught in the middle of the hostage situation.

The film's satirical take on Indian politics and bureaucracy is also a major highlight, as it skewers the corruption and inefficiency of the system with sharp wit and humor. From shady deals and bribes to petty rivalries and egos, the film lays bare the absurdities of those in power.

Overall, Maan Gaye Mughal-e-Azam is a fun-filled ride that is sure to leave audiences in splits. With its stellar cast, hilarious gags, and social commentary, it is a must-watch for anyone looking for some good laughs and a dose of satire.
