This Italian comedy has a very serious undertone. The plot follows two men who have returned home after World War I. Things are not well in their home country so they decide to support Benito Mussolini only to find out later that he is full of false promises and a lover of violence. Politics change almost completely, leaving the men to decide whether to get involved or simply observe.
