Ethan Hunt and his team are back in the fourth installment of the Mission: Impossible franchise, titled Ghost Protocol. The movie starts with Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) being broken out of a Moscow prison by fellow IMF agent Jane Carter (Paula Patton) and analyst Benji Dunn (Simon Pegg). Their mission is to get their hands on nuclear launch codes that have been stolen by terrorist Kurt Hendricks (Michael Nyqvist).

However, the mission goes awry, and the Kremlin is bombed, implicating the IMF team in the terrorist act. The President disavows the IMF, and the team must go rogue in order to clear their name and stop Hendricks from launching a devastating nuclear attack.

To make matters worse, the team is without their usual resources and must rely on their wits and skill to complete their mission. Enter William Brandt (Jeremy Renner), a former IMF agent with a mysterious past who joins the team in the midst of their chaos.

The film is directed by Brad Bird, who is best known for his work on Pixar films such as The Incredibles and Ratatouille. His experience in animation is apparent in the film's stunning visuals and impressive action sequences.

One of the film's standout scenes involves Ethan Hunt climbing the outside of the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, without any safety equipment. The sequence is thrilling and heart-stopping, and it's a testament to Tom Cruise's dedication to performing his own stunts.

The movie also features a great cast of supporting characters, including Léa Seydoux as Sabine Moreau, an assassin working with Hendricks, and Anil Kapoor as Brij Nath, a wealthy Indian businessman with his own agenda.

One of the strengths of Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol is its ability to balance action and story. The film never feels like it's just a series of set pieces strung together. Instead, the action serves the story, and vice versa.

The film also continues the series' tradition of featuring high-tech gadgets and espionage tactics. However, it doesn't rely on these devices to succeed. The characters are the heart of the film, and their relationships with one another make the action more engaging and the stakes higher.

Overall, Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol is a great addition to the franchise. It's a thrilling action movie that doesn't sacrifice story or character development for explosions and car chases. The team behind the film did an excellent job of balancing these elements, and the result is a movie that is both exciting and entertaining.

Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol is a 2011 action movie with a runtime of 2 hours and 13 minutes. It has received mostly positive reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 7.4 and a MetaScore of 73.
