“Mr. Girisham” is a social satire dealing with the lives of the Brahmin upper caste. Based on Gurazada Apparao’s famous 1892 play “Kanyasulkam,” this Tollywood comedy film centers around the questionable practice of paying a bride price. In the film, which is set in Inida, Gireesham (played by Krishna Bhagavan) is portrayed as an opportunistic young man.
