He traveled throughout Europe when he was a kid and lived in an orphanage when he was five. When he was in his early 20s, he moved to Paris and became a con artist. He was arrested numerous times from theft to fraud. In 1991 Rocancourt went to the US and used several aliases. He moved to Los Angles and claimed to have family that were famous celebrities. He had many charges against him which includes fraud, theft, and smuggling against 19 victims. He has served five years in prison and has to pay $10.2 million in fines and restitution.
