Muni is a 2007 Indian horror-comedy movie directed by Raghava Lawrence. The film stars Lawrence, Vedhika, and Raj Kiran in pivotal roles. Muni is a story about a young man named Raghava who is considered a coward by his family and friends. He is scared of anything related to ghosts and haunted places. One night, Raghava and his family are forced to move to their aunt's house because their own house is under repair. Unbeknownst to them, the aunt's house is haunted by the spirit of a woman who was killed under mysterious circumstances. As soon as Raghava enters the house, he starts experiencing unusual things, and his fear of ghosts is taken to the next level.

The movie begins with a group of friends planning to go on a picnic. They decide to go to an abandoned bungalow, where they encounter a spirit of a woman who killed herself years ago. The incident happens a few days before Raghava and his family move in. Raghava's mother is very religious, and she believes that the spirit wants to possess her son. She takes him to a temple to cleanse him of any evil spirits. However, things get worse when Raghava starts to behave erratically and begins to see ghosts everywhere. His family and friends think he's gone mad and take him to a psychiatrist.

The psychiatrist suspects that Raghava is suffering from schizophrenia and puts him on medication. However, the medication doesn't work, and Raghava's condition worsens. He starts to behave like a woman, and everyone thinks he is possessed by a female spirit. The family brings in an exorcist who tries to control the spirit, but he is possessed too. Raghava's mother decides to take him to a well-known tantric who has experience dealing with these kinds of situations. The tantric realizes that the spirit haunting Raghava is seeking revenge for something that happened in the past. He starts chanting mantras to control the spirit, and finally, after a lot of struggle, he is successful.

Muni has a mix of horror and comedy. Lawrence's portrayal of a man suffering from a female spirit's possession is excellent. His comic timing and acting skills are remarkable, and he carries the film on his shoulders. Vedhika, who plays Raghava's girlfriend, does a decent job. Raj Kiran, who plays the role of the tantric, is convincing as a man with extraordinary powers. His character brings some moments of relief to the horror-filled movie.

Muni has some well-executed horror sequences that may scare some audiences. The cinematography and background score are impressive. The film's climax is predictable, but the journey leading up to it keeps the audiences engaged. The ghost makeup and sound effects are commendable.

In conclusion, Muni is a horror-comedy worth watching. The movie's storyline is nothing different from the usual horror movies, but the presentation and execution make it a must-watch for horror movie lovers. Lawrence has done an excellent job in directing the film and playing the lead. The balance between horror and comedy is just right, and it will keep the audiences entertained throughout the film. If you're a fan of horror-comedies, Muni should be added to your watch list.
