Naruto: Shippuden the Movie 3, also known as Naruto Shippuden: The Will of Fire, is an action-packed anime film released in July 2009. The movie is directed by Masahiko Murata and written by Junki Takegami. It is the third installment of the Naruto Shippuden film series. The film showcases the Great War of Fires, which took place during the feudal era of the ninja world. The war occurred due to disputes over how to put out a burning village. Since then, the village's katon (fire) jutsu has been sealed away forever. However, the fire-natured chakra of ninjas of the Leaf Village still exists, and it could prove dangerous if misappropriated.

The movie opens with a tale from the past, where two ninjas from the Leaf Village, En Oyashiro, and Dokugan Ryu, immerse into the war. En Oyashiro, a prodigious ninja, assembles a team of shinobi, including his son Hiruko, to stop the village's wars. Hiruko and his friends join En to put an end to the battle to protect the village's people. However, this attempt was not successful, and En was forced to seal both the jutsu and the two young warriors, Hiruko and Dokugan, in a unique castle. This castle was then buried in the mountains, serving as a reminder of the devastating Great War of Fires.

The film then transitions to the present day, where the Leaf Village is being threatened by the Hidden Stone Village. The Hidden Stone Village, led by the villain Hiruko, resurfaces to acquire the fire-nature chakra that lies within the Leaf Village. Hiruko, who had existed only as a thought, is now given a source of ultimate power to control the power of the Leaf Village's chakra with the help of his puppet army. Their primary target is Kakashi Hatake, the leader of the Leaf Village's ninja forces, and the only one who knows the secrets of the wars of their village.

Hiruko's plan is to unleash the chakra and become the ultimate ruler of the ninja world. In an attempt to achieve his goal, he kidnaps Kakashi's team, comprising of Naruto, Sakura, Sai, and Yamato. The plot thickens as Kakashi's past surfaces, revealing his connection with Hiruko and the enigmatic castle of En Oyashiro. As the war brews and the future of the Leaf Village hangs by a thread, Kakashi and his comrades must unite and fight against their enemies to stop them from acquiring the village's power.

The movie features stunning animation and is filled with compelling fight scenes that captivate audiences from beginning to end. The fight between Hiruko and Naruto is breathtaking, and viewers are treated to Naruto's signature combination of action, humor, and a relentless fighting spirit. There are also moments of intense emotion, as the character's trauma and fears come to the fore. Naruto's drive to protect his friends, love, and home village are central themes of the story, and they serve to strengthen the characters.

The Will of Fire introduces several new characters that bring a fresh perspective to the storyline. The Sanin, consisting of Hiruko, En Oyashiro, and Dokugan Ryu, all have distinct personalities that lend themselves to the plot. The characters' interactions, especially those of Hiruko and Kakashi, are well crafted and add depth to the storyline.

The movie's soundtrack is also excellent, featuring lively tunes that match the action-packed sequences. The voice acting is top-notch, with Junko Takeuchi, who voices Naruto in the Japanese version, delivering an outstanding performance.

Overall, Naruto: Shippuden the Movie 3 is a fantastic addition to the Naruto Shippuden franchise. The film offers an engaging storyline, fluid animation, and a cast of likable characters. The themes of friendship, loyalty, and determination run throughout the movie, and they will resonate with viewers of all ages. If you're looking for an exciting anime film with memorable characters and intense fight scenes, this movie is an excellent choice. Fans of the Naruto Shippuden series will undoubtedly want to add this film to their collection.
