Night Train

Night Train is a mystery thriller written and directed by Brian King - featuring Danny Glover, Steve Zahn along with Leelee Sobieski. The movie is set on a train during Christmas Eve, Miles (Glover) is a veteran train conductor that finds himself drawn into a three way game of cat and mouse along with a pre-med student Chloe (Leelee Sobieski) and a floundering salesman Peter (Zahn).

A man dies on board the train leaving behind a box that intrigues the three main characters. Miles discovers that the key to the box is on the ring Chloe has and opens it. As the three peer into the contents of the box, there something of astronomical value that triggers paranoia within the group, any sense of reason goes out the window as they conspire to ditch the body and split the fortune.

The plot thickens as other suspicious passengers come in and out of the increasing tug of war for the box that's becoming an impossible secret to keep. The resolve of the three seems to weaken as thoughts of keeping the treasure for themselves seems more appealing by the minute. Unknown to all the box has an uncommon magical force that makes everyone see what they want to see inside of it.

As passengers are dying off one by one Miles decides to destroy the box, but not after having to fight Chloe for it. During the struggle the box flies off the train. Determined to be done with the troublesome box Miles sets the box on the track in hopes of having an oncoming train smash it to smithereens, a dog derails his plans and knocks the box aside as Miles freezes to death awaiting for another train to pass. The box finds itself in middle of nowhere, as a child drifts towards it, puts it in his hands, peers into the box and as the movie ends the child smiles.
