"Octubre," the Spanish word for the month of October, is a Peruvian film from the first half of the 2010s. The film is concerned with Clemente, a quiet moneylender, and Sofia, Clemente's neighbor and a devout believer of a religious icon. Events conspire to bring them within their social circles after one of Clemente's women of the night gave birth to a child and left it to Clemente's care. Clemente begins a hunt for the woman while Sofia looks after Clemente's child and home. "Octubre" features dialogue in the Peruvian Coast dialect of the Spanish language.
