Office Killer is a horror comedy thriller that was written by Todd Haynes, Tom Kalin, Elise MacAdam and Cindy Sherman. Directed by Cindy Sherman, the film was produced by Pamela Koffler and features Carol Kane, David Thornton, Molly Ringwald, Jeanne Tripplehorn and Barbara Sukowa. The story follows magazine editor, Dorine (played by Carole Kane) who is asked to work very late - way past business hours. She agrees to do so. When her computer breaks down, she asks for the help of co-workers. However, an unfortunate mishap occurs when Gary Michaels gets electrocuted while attempting to fix wires. When Dorine calls 911 for help, she winds up hanging up for no apparent reason when an operator answers the call. Dorine puts the dead body into a cart and rolls it over her to her car. She loads the corpse into her trunk and takes it home. Then she places it into her basement. After this, she goes on a murder spree. Dorine starts by killing yet another office coworker. She also kills two more young Girl Scouts when they come to her door trying to see her some cookies. She puts the young girls' dead bodies along with the other corpses in the basement. Soon after, she begins to eat cookies while she works on the new laptop she got. Dorine starts to send messages written from Gary to office workers. This is meant to imply that he is still alive and has merely left the office and his wife. Three more murders occur - all very calculated by Dorinne. It is never really clear why she is murdering all of these people, other than the fact that she snapped mentally. Dorine sets fire to the basement after her mother dies. She is later seen with new makeup and a blond wig, driving her car away. Finally, Dorine gets a newspaper and circles an ad for a new office job.
