Watch On a Tightrope

On A Tightrope is a 2007 Norwegian documentary. It chronicles the lives of four children who live in an orphans home in China. They belong to a Muslim minority, the Uhygurs. Their dream is to become tightrope walkers, an old tradition among their people. To their chagrin, the children are judged as uncoordinated by their coach. Suddenly their desires change into something different. One wants to become a singer while another wants to become a teacher. Another one, has a confidence problem - he thinks he's too small to be proficient in anything he does. The crazy coach gets rid of all the kids. A year later, a new coach takes over the tightrope walking program. With patience and love, he teaches the children how to perform effectively.
