Ordinary Heroes is a 1999 Hong Kong/China documentary. It is based on real life events. The film chronicles the lives of a prostitute, a social worker, a people's advocate, and a priest. These individuals are shown throughout the movie as ordinary people doing extraordinary acts of kindness. There are two stories interwoven in this award-winning film - the harrowing plight of Chinese boat individuals away from the Tiananmen Square human disaster and into other countries willing to welcome them. In addition there are acts of political activism as citizens want rights that they don't enjoy.

Ordinary Heroes doesn't appear to be available from any streaming services.
