Alexander Litvinenko is a martyr who was a former agent that worked for the secret police inside the Russian government now known as the FSB. He unwittingly ingested an amount, more than 200 times higher than lethal, of the highly unstable radioactive poison metalloid element found in uranium called polonium. His is the first documented case of polonium 210 being used as a method of murder, because it must be inside the body to be harmful. He dared to speak out against government corruption and terrorism against its own people in several books he published from asylum in Great Britain.
