P.S. Your Cat Is Dead is a dark comedy film released in 2002 that centers around the character of Jimmy Zoole, played by Steve Guttenberg, who has just been fired from his job as a struggling actor in New York City. As he returns to his apartment to confront his girlfriend Kate, played by Cynthia Watros, he discovers that she has been cheating on him with another man.

Feeling incredibly angry and betrayed, Jimmy ties up the man, named Eddie, in his apartment and begins to exact his revenge on both him and his girlfriend. However, as the night progresses, the situation becomes increasingly complicated, as other characters, including a gay burglar named Fred, played by Lombardo Boyar, and a homophobic cop, played by Tom Wright, become involved in the mayhem.

Throughout the film, Jimmy struggles with his feelings of anger and resentment towards Kate, as well as his own shortcomings as an actor and as a person. Meanwhile, the character of Eddie, who is initially portrayed as a sleazy womanizer, begins to reveal his own vulnerabilities and insecurities, leading to a surprising shift in the power dynamic between the two men.

Despite its dark themes and violent content, P.S. Your Cat Is Dead is ultimately a story about the complexities of human relationships and the unexpected ways in which they can evolve over time. As the characters navigate their way through the chaos of the night, they are forced to confront their own prejudices, fears, and desires, ultimately leading to a sense of catharsis and closure.

One of the standout features of the film is the strong chemistry between the three main actors, who all deliver nuanced and powerful performances. Guttenberg, who is best known for his comedic roles in films like Police Academy and Three Men and a Baby, gives a surprisingly raw and emotional performance as Jimmy, conveying both his rage and his vulnerability with great skill.

Watros, who is perhaps best known for her role on the popular TV series Lost, also shines as Kate, bringing depth and complexity to a character who could have easily been written off as a one-dimensional villain. Meanwhile, Boyar provides some much-needed levity as the quirky and lovable Fred, who serves as a kind of comedic foil to the more intense and dramatic scenes.

Overall, P.S. Your Cat Is Dead is a darkly funny and thought-provoking film that explores some weighty themes with great skill and sensitivity. Despite its low budget and relatively unknown cast, it manages to pack a powerful punch and deliver a memorable cinematic experience that is sure to stick with viewers long after the credits roll.

P.S. Your Cat Is Dead is a 2003 comedy. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 5.4 and a MetaScore of 33.
