A captivating movie full of color and fantasy that brings back the memories of what cartoon movies should be like now days. Filed with adventure this movie begins showing us the life of a poor young me with only one possession. A talking and bipedal walking cat wearing a pair of boots. Even so this cat might appear crazy to some he is actually the most cleaver of them all. Using his wits to impose his master as a prince and attempting to marry him to the ever charming princess he tricks the king into accepting a lie as a truth.

It wouldn't make an exciting tale if there wasn't a twist to the story, in this case presented as a big ogre that doesn't only breathe fire but also has the ability to shape shift. As the story progresses we see as how the cat and his beloved master, Gunther, struggle through exiting adventures living as nobles, something completely new to the both of them. As if all this wasn't enough there is the few that have the suspicion that Gunther is not really a prince but nevertheless, with great wits and skill, the puss in boots manages to clear any doubts and suspicions.

The most witty and smart of all the cats movements are performed at the ending of the film by showing us that is not all muscle and strength but brilliance and smartness that can solve most problems given to us in this world even if those problems are in the form of a fire breathing, shape shifting, ogre. Even so the film is rather short it is not short in content. With its beautiful graphics and excellent voice acting it takes us through gorgeous sightings and places only found in the deepest of a child's fantasy. It even goes as far as companioning all this with gorgeous soundtracks.

This movie is more than excellent for the whole family. It will not only have you falling of your sofa from the laughter but it will also show you interesting ways in which a cat, even so fictional, can help his master. It will also teach the youths that one cannot enforce marriage onto others if the other person doesn't want to get married. With funny and witty songs and gorgeous art with a familiar interesting story, it is a must for anyone desiring to enjoy an old cartoon movie.
