This drama takes for its subject the issue of French-Canadian independence. It takes place in the mid-nineteenth century when Quebecers sought their independence from British colonial rule in what became known as the Patriot War of 1837. The film stars John Drew Barrymore, Barbara Rush and Corinne Calvert and was filmed on location in Quebec province.
