This is the Malay legend of a ruler known as the Vampire King. After a life spent building his empire, a king settled to his dinner. His royal chef was summoned after a particularly enjoyable meal. After questions regarding his cooking secrets, the chef reveals his secret ingredient. From that day forward, all meals of the court were commanded to be made with this special sauce. The king's appetite grows, and a mystical change takes place. The king becomes a personality so heinous, only a kingdom-wide revolt can calm his thirst.
