Watch Ring: Kanzenban

This Japanese horror film is the first in the long line of remakes and spin off's center around the novel Ring by Japanese fiction author, Koji Suzuki. The plot of this film is the closest to the original novel's and the characters, in regards to their personality and motivations remains almost entierly unchanged from the book. The story revolves around a cursed videotape that falls into the unwitting hands of a newspaper reporter by the name of Kazuyuki Asakawa. The ghost that inhabits the tape kills all those that watch it and when Asakawa finds out he fears he will be next and so, with the aid of his friends and business contacts, attempts to stop the curse once and for all.
