Released during a time when homosexual couples fought for the right to marry, this 2012 fictional film tells the story of a married lesbian couple as they attempt to have their first child together. That means visits to sperm banks and going through the process of in vitro fertilization, a start-to-finish process that proves much more difficult than the couple had envisioned.

Along the way, viewers see that love exists outside the confines of a traditional man-woman marriage as the two women display their heartfelt desires to start a family. While clearly targeting change in the area of gay marriage, the film's fictional nature helps it avoid overt preaching.
