Saravana (Silambarasan) and Krishna are friends. Saravana falls in love with Krishna's sister Sadhana (Jyothika), who studies in London. He visits the house of Krishna in Tirunelveli and comes to know about the caste clash prevalent in the district. Soundarapandi (Prakashraj), Krishna's elder brother, decides to arrange for the wedding of Saravana and Sadhana, coming to know that he is in love with Sadhana. In the caste clashes, Soundarapandi and Krishna get killed by the opposite faction. Saravana rescues Sadhana and takes her to his home in Chennai. The rest of the story is all about how he protects her and eliminates the gang, which want to kill her.
