Savage Sam

The movie Savage Sam is a sequel to another movie starting the dog Old Yeller. This movie is based on a novel by the same name. The novel was written by Fred Gipson. This movie is in the live action genre. It is also a film that was released by the Walt Disney Corporation. A dog named Savage Sam is the son of the dog named Old Yeller. Old Yeller belonged to a boy named Arliss and his brother Travis. Travis and Arliss are alone and Travis takes care of his young Brother. This dog Savage Sam is a blue tick coonhound and is very loyal and courageous. He is also a very good tracking dog. Sam likes to chase bobcats the best. Sometimes Arliss goes with him. The boy's uncle Beck comes to town. He checks on the boys. He gives advice to Travis on how to raise Arliss better and how to handle some of his behaviors.

The boys are doing well until one day they are taken captive by a group of Indians. The Indians also captured their neighbor's granddaughter named Lisbeth. Uncle Beck and some of the men in the neighborhood go on a search for them. They take the dog Sam with them. Travis is able to escape from the Indians and is found by the search party of men. The party along with Sam and Travis continue on to save the other children. With the help of Sam's noise leading the way the party is able to find the children and fight off the Indians. The search party, the children, and Sam are all able to make it home safely. This movie has some battle scenes that show how dedicated Sam is. Sam takes on other dogs as well as wild bobcats and even a pack of wolves. Sam stops at nothing to find the boys and be able to make sure they go home safely.
