Seizure is a horror-thriller film from 1974 that stars Jonathan Frid, Martine Beswick, and Joseph Sirola. The movie tells the story of Edmund Blackstone (Jonathan Frid), a horror writer who is struggling with writer's block. One day, he and his friends, including his wife (Christina Pickles), are invited to a remote mansion owned by a mysterious figure called the "Marquis de Sade" (Sirocco). Once they arrive at the mansion, they are subjected to a series of terrifying events that lead them to question their sanity and their survival.

The film opens with Edmund Blackstone sitting at his typewriter, struggling to write. He has a vision of a terrifying clown, which he believes is the source of his writer's block. Soon after, he receives a mysterious package in the mail, which contains a voodoo doll of himself. He is then visited by the Marquis de Sade, who invites him to his mansion for a weekend of fun and relaxation.

Edmund invites his friends to join him for the weekend, including his wife and some colleagues from the publishing industry. When they arrive at the mansion, they are greeted by the Marquis' creepy butler, Korloff (Henry Judd Baker), and his assistant, Mikki (Mary Woronov). As soon as they settle in, strange things begin to happen. The paintings on the walls come to life, and the guests are plagued by haunting visions and nightmares.

Things take a darker turn when the Marquis reveals his true intentions. He informs the guests that he has chosen them to be his next victims in a bizarre game where he reenacts scenes from Edmund's novels. The guests are now trapped in the mansion, forced to play along with the Marquis' twisted game. Their only hope of survival is to find a way out before it's too late.

The film is directed by Oliver Stone in his directorial debut. While the film's plot is somewhat convoluted, Stone's direction is effective in creating a sense of unease and dread throughout. The film's use of shadows, lighting, and sound creates a spooky atmosphere that keeps the audience on edge. The scenes involving the haunted paintings are particularly effective in creating a sense of dread.

The performances in Seizure are solid, with Jonathan Frid delivering a strong performance as Edmund Blackstone. Frid is known for his role in the cult classic TV series Dark Shadows, and he brings a similar level of intensity to his role in Seizure. Martine Beswick also delivers a strong performance as Mikki, the Marquis' assistant who takes a liking to Edmund. Beswick is best known for her appearances in several James Bond films, and she brings a sultry, mysterious quality to her role in Seizure.

Overall, Seizure is a solid horror film that is worth checking out for fans of the genre. While it may not be as well-known as other horror classics from the 1970s, such as The Exorcist or Halloween, it still holds up as a genuinely creepy and unsettling film.

Seizure is a 1974 horror movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 38 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 4.7.
