Seven Ways From Sundown is a 1960 Western film directed by Harry Keller and starring Audie Murphy, Barry Sullivan, and Venetia Stevenson. The film follows the story of a young Texas Ranger named Seven Ways From Sundown Jones, played by Audie Murphy, who has been assigned to track down and bring back a notorious outlaw named Jim Flood, played by Barry Sullivan.

The film begins with Seven Ways From Sundown Jones being given his assignment by his captain, played by Kenneth Tobey. Jones is a young, inexperienced Ranger who is eager to prove himself and make a name for himself in the Rangers. His captain warns him that Jim Flood is a dangerous man, wanted for murder and robbery, and that he should be careful in his pursuit.

Jones sets out on his mission and soon comes across Flood's gang. He manages to capture Flood in a daring nighttime raid and sets out to bring him back to Texas to face justice. However, Jones soon finds that capturing Flood was the easy part - keeping him in custody and alive on their long journey back to Texas proves to be much more difficult.

The two men begin a cat-and-mouse game with each other as they travel through the untamed West. Flood tries to escape at every opportunity, while Jones struggles to keep him in line and alive. Along the way, they encounter a number of colorful characters, including a beautiful woman named Waco, played by Venetia Stevenson, who becomes a love interest for Jones.

As they travel further and further towards Texas, Jones begins to learn more about Flood's past and why he turned to a life of crime. He starts to question his own beliefs about justice and the law, and begins to see Flood as a complex and multi-dimensional person, rather than just a criminal to be caught.

The tension between the two men builds throughout the film, leading to a climactic showdown in Texas that leaves both men changed forever.

Seven Ways From Sundown is a classic Western film that features strong performances from its cast, particularly Audie Murphy as the young and idealistic Texas Ranger, and Barry Sullivan as the hardened outlaw. The film is notable for its gritty realism and realistic portrayal of life in the West, as well as its exploration of complex themes such as justice, redemption, and the human condition.

Overall, Seven Ways From Sundown is a must-see for fans of classic Westerns and anyone who appreciates a well-crafted story with memorable characters and unforgettable action sequences.
