Shaapit is a 2010 Indian horror film directed by Vikram Bhatt and produced by Shree Venkatesh Films. The movie stars Aditya Narayan, Shweta Agarwal, and Shubh Joshi. The storyline is centered on a young couple who fall in love without knowing the truth about a curse that has haunted their family for generations. The movie follows the story of Aman (Aditya Narayan) and Kaaya (Shweta Agarwal), who happen to be childhood best friends. However, as they grew older, Aman started developing feelings for Kaaya, which she reciprocated. As they decided to get married, they learned about the curse that had haunted their family for centuries. Every firstborn child in their family dies on their twenty-third birthday, and the curse had now come to haunt Aman.

Determined to save Aman, Kaaya and he travel to their ancestral village, where they learn about the ominous history of the cursed family. There, they seek the help of a sage who tells them that the curse was the doing of an evil spirit who could possess anyone who enters the Forest of Shadows. To break the curse, Aman and Kaaya must find the evil spirit's mortal body and destroy it.

The couple meets the sage's son in the forest, who informs them that the only way to destroy the evil spirit's body is to find a particular weapon that had been buried somewhere in the forest. They soon discover the weapon, but it ends up in the hands of Kabir (Shubh Joshi), who is possessed by the evil spirit.

As the deadline of Aman's twenty-third birthday approaches, the couple must race against time to find and destroy Kabir before the curse can claim Aman's life. With the help of the sage's son, they devise a plan to get the weapon back from Kabir and destroy the evil spirit's mortal body.

The movie has a gripping storyline that keeps the audience hooked from beginning to end. The performances by the lead actors, Aditya Narayan and Shweta Agarwal, are commendable. Aditya, who made his acting debut with this movie, delivers a nuanced performance as the troubled Aman. Shweta, too, impresses with her portrayal of the determined and brave Kaaya.

The music of the movie is also a strong point, with the soulful and haunting tunes of the song "Tere Bina Jiya" being one of the film's most memorable aspects.

Overall, Shaapit is an engaging horror movie that is sure to keep the audience at the edge of their seats. The plot, direction, music, and performances are all top-notch, making it an enjoyable experience for horror fans.
