Sione's Wedding is a 2006 New Zealand comedy movie directed by Chris Graham. The movie is centered around Sione (Iaheto Ah Hi), a young man who is desperate to get married, but who is also known as the "bad boy" of his group of friends. Sione is part of a group of four friends who are constantly up to no good and cause all kinds of trouble around town. The group is made up of Sione, Michael (Robbie Magasiva), Albert (Shimpal Lelisi), and Stanley (Pua Magasiva), and together they form a close-knit bond of brotherhood.

One day, Sione's parents (Nathaniel Lees and Teuila Blakely) tell him that he cannot get married until his older brother, Albert, is married. This is because Sione's parents believe in tradition and think that Albert should be the first to get married. However, Albert is not interested in getting married at all, and Sione becomes increasingly frustrated with his situation. He decides to take matters into his own hands and find a suitable bride for his older brother. Together with his friends, he sets out to find the perfect woman for Albert.

The movie is filled with hilarious moments, awkward situations, and plenty of laughs. The group of four friends are constantly getting into trouble, and their antics provide much of the movie's humor. The movie also deals with themes of love, family, and culture, and explores the complex relationships between the characters.

One of the highlights of the movie is the relationship between Sione and Leilani (Pua Magasiva), a woman he meets and falls in love with. Leilani is the sister of one of Sione's friends, and their relationship is complicated by the fact that Sione's parents do not approve of her. Sione's parents believe that Leilani is not a suitable bride for their son, and Sione must navigate their disapproval while trying to pursue his own happiness.

Another standout performance comes from Oscar Kightley, who plays a character named Bolo. Bolo is a gang leader who is also a family man, and Kightley's portrayal of the character is both comical and heartfelt. Bolo's story provides an interesting perspective on the themes of family and loyalty.

The movie also features a fantastic soundtrack, with a mix of traditional Samoan music and contemporary hip-hop. The music adds to the energy and excitement of the movie, and helps to immerse the viewer in the world of the characters.

Overall, Sione's Wedding is a funny and touching movie that explores the complexities of love, family, and culture. The characters are relatable and endearing, and the movie is filled with heartwarming moments that will leave viewers feeling uplifted. The movie is a celebration of Samoan culture and traditions, and provides an interesting window into the Samoan community in New Zealand.
