The film entitled Solo is about the adventures of a robot known as Solo. Solo is a robot that was developed by the army to function as a killing machine. General Haynes of the army sends it to America to fight against the guerilla rebels. Unfortunately as it goes on mission, a defect occurs in its programming, and the robot develops consciousness and sympathy.
The soldiers who were responsible for developing it try to devise ways to deprogram it, but the robot escapes in a helicopter to a nearby forest. With limited energy left in it, the robot makes its way to a small locality in the forest where it comes across some locals who are in constant danger as they face attacks from guerilla rebels. He agrees to protect them from the rebels in exchange for the use of their generator to supply him with the required energy.
Solo helps the villagers to defeat and send away a military commander and his army, but a military satellite detects the battle, and the military sends a team to either capture or destroy Solo. Solo succeeds in killing all the members of the team sent to capture him, after which he faces the team leader in a fierce fight. However, he also succeeds in beating the leader and breaks his spine.
The military then decides to send a more powerful and well-armed robot known as the Solo MKII to destroy Solo without leaving a trace. The MKII comes across the wounded team leader, whom he kills, and the head of the team of soldiers. He goes around the village in search of Solo, and when he finds him he confronts Solo in a serious fight. Solo makes use of some bluffing skills which he had learned from a young boy in the village and destroys the MKII to the total dismay of the military.
