Speechless is a romantic comedy film released in 1994, directed by Ron Underwood and written by Robert King. The movie stars Michael Keaton, Geena Davis, and Christopher Reeve in the lead roles. The story revolves around two speechwriters, Julia Mann (Geena Davis) and Kevin Vallick (Michael Keaton), who work for opposing politicians in New Mexico. While both of them are good at their jobs, they have very different styles of speechwriting. Julia is a romantic writer who believes in heartfelt speeches that can move people, whereas Kevin is a witty writer who believes in using humor and sarcasm to win over people.

The two of them meet at a political fundraiser, where they are immediately attracted to each other. Although they try to hide their feelings, they end up spending the night together. The next morning, they realize that they are rival speechwriters. This creates a dilemma for them, as they cannot be seen together in public without their bosses finding out.

While Julia and Kevin try to keep their relationship a secret from their respective bosses, they also have to deal with the stresses of their jobs. Julia's boss, Bob Alexander (Christopher Reeve), is a ruthless politician who will stop at nothing to win the election. He is also Julia's ex-boyfriend, which makes things even more complicated. On the other hand, Kevin's boss, Arnold Schwarzenegger (no, not the actor), is a charismatic man who is loved by the people but is not taken seriously by the political establishment.

As the election approaches, Julia and Kevin find themselves caught in the middle of a heated campaign. They have to use all their skills as speechwriters to help their candidates win. Meanwhile, they also have to deal with their growing feelings for each other, which become harder to hide as the campaign intensifies.

The movie is a classic romantic comedy, with plenty of laughs and heartwarming moments. Michael Keaton and Geena Davis are both excellent in their roles, bringing their characters to life with charm and wit. Christopher Reeve is also great as the villainous Bob Alexander, adding a touch of drama to the movie.

Apart from the romantic storyline, the movie also tackles some serious issues related to politics and campaigning. It shows how politicians will do anything to win, even if it means lying, cheating, and manipulating the public. It also highlights the importance of speechwriting in politics, and how a well-crafted speech can make all the difference between winning and losing.

Overall, Speechless is a feel-good movie that will leave you with a smile on your face. It's a perfect blend of romance and politics, with great performances from the cast and a witty script. Whether you're a fan of romantic comedies or political dramas, this movie is definitely worth a watch.
