Starkweather is a crime drama movie released in 2004 which follows the true story of the notorious serial killer Charles Starkweather. The movie also highlights the manipulative nature of Starkweather, as he convinces Fugate to accompany him on his killing spree. The film does not excuse Starkweather's actions, but it provides a glimpse into the mind of a killer and helps us understand how and why he committed such heinous crimes.

The performances of the lead actors are outstanding. Brent Taylor delivers a chilling performance as Charles Starkweather. He portrays him as a disturbed and violent individual who is both dangerous and sympathetic at the same time. Shannon Lucio, who plays Caril Ann Fugate, also delivers an excellent performance. She portrays Fugate as a vulnerable and naive teenager who becomes caught up in Starkweather's web of manipulation.

The cinematography of the film is also noteworthy. The film uses a range of different camera angles and techniques to create a sense of tension and suspense. The use of black and white imagery, combined with the haunting musical score, creates a dark and foreboding atmosphere which is fitting for a movie about a serial killer.
