Super Shark is a 2011 horror-comedy film directed by Fred Olen Ray and starring Tim Abell, Catherine Annette, and Ashley Carr. The movie follows the story of a group of people who find themselves under attack from a giant prehistoric shark that has been awoken by an underwater military base drilling into its resting spot. The film begins with a group of Marines testing out a new underwater weapon, but their testing quickly becomes a disaster when they accidentally awaken a prehistoric shark. After the shark destroys their base, it begins its rampage towards the mainland, leaving a trail of destruction and death in its wake. The government quickly takes action and calls in their top scientist, Dr. Natalie Parker (played by Annette), to help stop the shark before it's too late.

Meanwhile, Dr. Parker's ex-boyfriend, Wade Parker (played by Abell), who is now a commercial fisherman, also finds himself on the shark's radar. After narrowly escaping an attack, Wade decides to team up with Dr. Parker and her team to take down the beast.

As the group sets out to track down the shark, they encounter a slew of obstacles, including corrupt government officials, a rival research team, and the shark itself, which seems to be getting smarter with every encounter. Despite the odds, the group remains determined to save the day and stop the super shark before it's too late.

Super Shark is a classic B-movie with all the tropes that come with the genre, including cheesy dialogue, over-the-top action scenes, and questionable special effects. However, it still manages to be an entertaining watch for those who enjoy a good creature feature.

One of the standout performances in the film comes from Abell, who manages to inject humor and a sense of levity into his character, despite the dire situation. Annette is also a strong presence in the film, playing the brilliant scientist who is determined to save the day.

The film's special effects can be hit or miss, with some scenes looking impressive while others are laughably bad. However, this only adds to the film's charm and B-movie feel.

Despite its flaws, Super Shark manages to deliver a fun and entertaining experience for those who are fans of the genre. It's a movie that doesn't take itself too seriously and is perfect for a Friday night with friends or a lazy weekend afternoon.

Overall, Super Shark may not be a cinematic masterpiece, but it's a fun and entertaining movie that delivers what it promises - a giant shark attacking everything in its path. If you're a fan of cheesy B-movies or creature features, then Super Shark is definitely worth a watch.

Super Shark is a 2011 science fiction movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 27 minutes. It has received poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 2.5.
