Supercop is a 1992 action film also known as Police Story 3 that stars Jackie Chan. The film is directed by Stanley Tong. Chan plays Chan Ka-Kui, who is called Kevin in the North American version of the film. Chan goes undercover in a Chinese prison to help a henchman named Panther escape. The plan is for Panther to lead Chan to his boss Chaibat, who is a drug kingpin. The plan goes awry when Chan, Panther and their partners end up in the town that Chan claimed to be from, and Chan doesn't know anyone there. Interpol director Jessica Yang, played by Michelle Yeoh, anticipates this and arrives in the town with military police to pose as Chan's family. The ruse works, and Panther leads them to Hong Kong to meet with Chaibat.
Chaibat is impressed with Chan and Yang when they assist with the destruction of a rival drug lab in Thailand. Chan runs into his girlfriend May at a Malaysian hotel, and she inadvertently blows his cover. She is taken hostage and Chaibat orders Chan and Yang to free his wife from a Malaysian prison. Once they free her, Chaibat shoves May out of a helicopter. Chan goes after Chaibat as a result, seeking revenge. The result is a chase and fight sequence that takes place across Kuala Lumpur. Chan holds onto a rope ladder at one point while getting flung around by a helicopter high in the air. Chaibat gets killed when his helicopter lands on top of him during a train chase. Chaibat's wife gets recaptured, and she gives Yang and Chan the bank account numbers to Chaibat's fortune in Switzerland. They then have to decide who gets control of it.
Jackie Chan performed his own fight scenes and stunts in the film, as did Michelle Yeoh. The film was written by Edward Tang, Fibe Ma and Lee Wai Yee.
