Surf Ninjas is an action comedy released in 1993 that follows the story of two teenage brothers who discover they are the rightful heirs to the throne of Patu San, a small island nation in Southeast Asia. Led by their mentor and guardian, Iggy (Rob Schneider), the brothers embark on a journey to reclaim their birthright and save their people from the tyranny of Colonel Chi (Leslie Nielsen), a warlord who has taken over the island.

The film opens with brothers Johnny (Ernie Reyes Jr.) and Adam (Nicolas Cowan) living in Los Angeles, spending their days surfing and playing video games. Johnny, the older of the two, is a champion surfer with a rebellious streak, while Adam is more bookish and reserved. Soon, they find themselves being pursued by a group of ninjas who are intent on taking them back to Patu San. Iggy shows up just in time to save them and explain to them their true identity and destiny as the rightful heirs to the throne.

As the three of them make their way to Patu San, they encounter a series of challenges that test their martial arts skills and their ability to work together as a team. Along the way, they are joined by Zatch (Ernie Reyes Sr.), a friend and ally of their father who helps them navigate the treacherous waters of Patu San and prepare for their eventual showdown with Colonel Chi.

Once they arrive on the island, the brothers are forced to confront the harsh reality of their homeland under Colonel Chi's rule. The people are oppressed and the island's natural resources are being exploited for Chi's own gain. Johnny, Adam, and Zatch must use their skills and ingenuity to rally the people and mount a resistance against Chi and his army of ninjas.

Surf Ninjas is a lighthearted and fun action movie with a lot of humor and heart. The martial arts scenes are well choreographed and entertaining, and the characters are lovable and relatable. Ernie Reyes Jr. and Ernie Reyes Sr. both shine in their respective roles as Johnny and Zatch, while Rob Schneider provides comedic relief as the quirky and eccentric Iggy.

The movie also features some impressive surfing scenes, which add to the film's overall cool factor. There is a sense of fun and adventure throughout the movie that makes it engaging and enjoyable to watch. While the story is fairly straightforward and predictable, the characters and their relationships are what make the movie stand out.

Overall, Surf Ninjas is an entertaining and nostalgic movie that will appeal to fans of 90s action films and martial arts movies. It may not be the most groundbreaking or memorable movie in its genre, but its charm and likability make it worth watching. If you're in the mood for a fun and action-packed movie with a lot of heart, Surf Ninjas is definitely worth checking out.
