Tere Ghar Ke Samne is a romantic comedy film from 1963 featuring Dev Anand, Nutan, and Rajendranath Malhotra in the lead roles. The story revolves around a young architect named Rakesh (played by Dev Anand) who dreams of designing and building his own modern bungalow in the heart of Delhi. However, his plans are met with obstacles when Sulekha (played by Nutan), the daughter of his father's arch-rival, moves into the neighboring plot with her family's traditional haveli.

Rakesh is instantly smitten by Sulekha's beauty and tries his best to impress her. However, Sulekha is unimpressed by Rakesh's modern designs and believes that he is trying to intrude on her family's legacy. Their initial meetings are filled with witty banter, and they constantly try to outsmart each other.

Meanwhile, Rakesh's jovial friend, Lallu (played by Rajendranath Malhotra), tries his best to play cupid between the two. In one of his failed attempts, he tries to make Rakesh and Sulekha jealous by pretending to be in love with Sulekha's younger sister, Kanchan (played by Rashid Khan). This comical mishap creates further confusion and tension between the two families.

As Rakesh tries to come up with a more traditional design for his bungalow to impress Sulekha's family, he realizes that her father, Seth Madanlal (played by Om Prakash), is actually a supporter of modern architecture. This newfound information results in a sudden shift in his plans and design, which impresses Sulekha and earns him respect from her father.

However, just when everything seems to be going well between the two families and Rakesh and Sulekha's relationship, a misfortunate event threatens to tear them apart. Sulekha's father accuses Rakesh of stealing his prized possession, a valuable necklace, and demands that he be put behind bars. With all the evidence against him, it seems like Rakesh's dream of building his bungalow and winning Sulekha's heart could be shattered forever.

Tere Ghar Ke Samne is a lighthearted and entertaining film that showcases the early works of the legendary actor, Dev Anand, and his charismatic performance. The music, composed by S.D. Burman, is also a highlight of the film, with the classic romantic song "Dil Ka Bhanwar Kare Pukar" becoming an instant hit. The movie's portrayal of traditional vs. modern architecture and values is also noteworthy, showcasing the clash between the old and the new.

Overall, Tere Ghar Ke Samne is a must-watch for anyone who enjoys classic Bollywood romance and comedy. The chemistry between Dev Anand and Nutan and the comical antics of Rajendranath Malhotra will keep you entertained from start to finish.
